Creative Company Development Program
*The application for this program has ended.
● Discovers and develops new creator companies that will represent Japan in the future.
● Supports manufacturing, information transmission, and distribution to create a platform upon which creators can expand globally.
● These creators will present their 2012 S/S & 2012-13 A/W collection as a show and at the joint exhibition to be held at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week TOKYO in October 2011 & March 2012.
1. Creation support (Lecture on domestic material production regions and their trends, creation with domestic manufacturers, and provision of amount equivalent to 1 million yen for purchase of domestic materials)
2. Venue support (Use of special stages such as the Canopy Square at the Tokyo Midtown)
3. Joint exhibition support (Joint exhibition participation fee support)
4. Business matching with domestic and overseas buyers
5. Test marketing support (Performing test sales at domestic small and medium stores and on domestic & overseas EC websites)
・Brand must be within 5 years since its establishment
・Business development is based in Japan
・Must be a personal brand without any major corporate sponsors
・Must have recommendation from either a buyer or a journalist
・Must create over 20 coordinated outfits for that season’s show
・Must have registered (or applied) trademarks both domestically and overseas
*Must meet either of the following:
・Must have over 15 million yen in annual sales
・Must have over 5 employees
● Supports creator companies that have already gained business experience in Japan and are capable of expanding worldwide.
● These creators will present their 2012 S/S & 2012-13 A/W collection as a show and at the exhibition to be held during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week TOKYO in October 2011 & March 2012.
1. Creation support (Lecture on domestic material production regions and their trends, creation with domestic manufacturers, and provision of amount equivalent to 1 million yen for purchase of domestic materials)
2. Venue support (Utilizing the Tokyo Midtown Hall A, etc.)
3. Joint exhibition support (venue support) *For up to 3 groups only
4. Oversea business development support
・Business matching with oversea buyers for collections and exhibitions
・Recommend supported brands to major overseas fashion weeks and exhibitions
・Transmit information on oversea fashion websites
・Coordination with Japanese fashion oversea development project
・Must be a creator of note in Japan with a serious strategy for business development into the West & Asia
・Must have a business foundation in Japan and is thinking seriously of going international
・Must have registered (or applied) trademarks both domestically and overseas
*Must meet either of the following:
・Must have over 50 million yen in annual sales
・Must have over 5 employees
The JFW Committee, which is comprised of experts currently active on the front lines of the fashion business, will select the new generation creator companies and the creator companies capable of expanding globally.
